      Assalamualaikum... eja nak meng'update' blog yg dgn tak sengaje nye eja dah delete....kecewa betul la an.... takpe... i try to make a new one and much better from the first one...
 topic that i want to discuss is about advantages and disadvantages of using internet.... as we know there's a lot of good thing if we use internet,,, here some definitions of internet that i search in internet =)


       What is Internet?
According to the definition provided by Oxford dictionary, the Internet is an arrangement of connected computers, which lets the computer users all over the globe exchange data. At the present time, approximately 33% of the world population has accessibility to the Internet. The Internet is an extraordinary entertainment and learning tool that may be utilized in a number of modes to increase the ability of a user to collect information. 

       

      Advantages provided by the Internet:

1) Information The biggest benefit offered by the Internet is information. It functions as a valuable resource of information. You can find any type of information on any subject with the help of the search engines like Yahoo and Google.
2) Communication The primary goal of the Internet is communication. It has done extremely well in this field, however the development process is still going on to make it more dependable and quick. By sending an e-mail, we can contact a person who is physically present thousand miles away within the fraction of a second’s time.
3) Entertainment Internet functions as a popular medium of entertainment. A wide variety of entertainment including video games, music, movies, chat room, news and others can be accessed through the Internet.
4) E-commerce E-commerce is the idea that is implemented for any form of commercial strategy or business transactions that entails transmission of data from one corner of the world to another. E-commerce has become a fantastic option through which you can shop anything.
5) Formation of communities Internet helps in formation of communities or forums. Here a number of people can participate in different types of debates and discussions, express their views and gather valuable knowledge.
6) Services A variety of services are offered via Internet, for example job searching, online banking, buying movie tickets, hotel reservations and consultation services etc. When you avail these services offline, they become more expensive.

         The disadvantages of Internet

Following are the disadvantages of Internet:

1) Spamming: Spamming denotes distribution of unsolicited e-mails in large numbers. They are meaningless and they unnecessarily block the whole system. These activities are treated as illegal.
2) Theft of personal details While using the Internet, there is high probability that your personal details like name, address and credit card number may be accessed by con artists and used for fraudulent purposes.
3) Pornography: Pornography is definitely harmful for your children. There are numerous pornographic sites available over the Internet and watching any of those can have very bad influence on the mental health of your children.
4) Virus threat Virus is a program that interrupts the usual operation of your personal computer system. PCs linked to the Internet have high probability of virus attacks and as a result of this your hard disk can crash, giving you a lot of trouble.

     other than that,,, with using this internet we also can use social networking.. ianya memudahkan untuk kita apabila kita nak merapatkan silaturrahim... heheheh :) dari pandangan eja la n,,, bagusnye internet nie kalau kita guna untuk mencari benda yang bermanfaat je kan,,, 

okay... nie je untuk kebaikan dan keburukan internet nie tau cause banyak lagi eja nak buat nie... enjoy ur reading,,, :)

GREEN TECHNOLOGY.....

              what can you defined green technology ?

from the research that i have search,, what i can conclude is green technology is one of the best way to save the earth. it is because green technology teach us not to easily throwing rubbish anywhere that we want to.... we must love and care about our earth...

              there is some examples of green technology subject area which is energy,, green building,, green chemistry,, and also green nanotechnology.... 

and now we discuss about the first one that is Energy... energy is the most urgent and important issues for green technology,, this is incude development of alternative fuels,, and that is generating energy and energy efficiency.....   

             other than that is Green Building... green building is encompasses everything from the choice of building materials to where a building is located.. we must make sure that the building located suitable to other living things..

             Green Chemistry....means by the invention, design and application of chemical products and processes to reduce or to eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances... the last one is green nanotechnology..... Nanotechnology involves the manipulation of materials at the scale of the nanometer, one billionth of a meter. Some scientists believe that mastery of this subject is forthcoming that will transform the way that everything in the world is manufactured. "Green nanotechnology" is the application of green chemistry and green engineering principles to this field.

             A brief explanation of Green Technologies in every day language - The development of better tools for recycling, water purification, sewage treatment, environmental remediation, solid waste management, and renewable energy.

This is not a complete explanation but it is a start. The field and subject is enormous and growing each day. This is, to say the least, an exploding field of study largely funded with government money.

our first class after our semester break... and our lecture, Pn. Rahimah give us some work to do and that is advantages and disadvantages of network topology.... this is little about topology...

What is a network topology? In communication networks, a topology is a usually schematic description of the arrangement of a network, including its nodes and connecting lines. There are two ways of defining network geometry: the physical topology and the logical (or signal) topology.
The physical topology of a network is the actual geometric layout of workstations.
 ( i take it from internet)..

Star Network

-Advantages

• Good performance
• easy to set up and to expand. Any non-centralised failure will have very little effect on the network, whereas on a ring network it would all fail with one fault

-Disadvantages

• Expensive to install
• Extra hardware required

Ring Network

-Advantages

• Data is quickly transferred without a ‘bottle neck’. (very fast, all data traffic is in the same direction)
• The transmission of data is relatively simple as packets travel in one direction only.
• Adding additional nodes has very little impact on bandwidth

-Disadvantages

• Data packets must pass through every computer between the sender and recipient therefore this makes it slower.
• If any of the nodes fail then the ring is broken and data cannot be transmitted successfully.
• It is difficult to troubleshoot the ring.

Bus Network

-Advantages

• Easy to implement and extend
• Well suited for temporary networks (quick setup)
• Initially less expensive than other topologies
• Cheap

-Disadvantages

• Difficult to administer/troubleshoot.
• Limited cable length and number of stations.
• If there is a problem with the cable, the entire network goes down.
• Maintenance costs may be higher in the long run.
